Horse
Training and Riding Lessons
Our
professional trainer Ellin (pictured left, with Pavon)
is available to assist you with the development
and training of your horse. From ground Work, starting
under saddle, and finishing, Ellin can provide an
exceptional horse that is balanced, light, and responsive
to the aids.
The French Classical Connection - "Riding
In Lightness"
The principals of the French Classical
Connections are centered around:
The Full Balanced Seat
Appropriate use of the aids
Separation of the aids
The French method
is true to the classical principles of dressage; developing
a horse that is supple, obedient, working in self-carriage,
and light to the aids, swinging through the back and
relaxed. Its techniques of riding have been taught by such
notable equestrians as Francoise Baucher, Nuno Oliviera,
and Jean Claude Racinet. It works well with any breed or
type of horse and is not limited to dressage, being useful
to any riding discipline including: saddle seat, western,
and hunt seat. It can be learned by any age rider and used
on horses at all levels of training.
The results have been achieved by Ellin Daum, who
began dressage after age 40 and who, although not completely
physically fit, has accomplished an amazing transition
from one who pushed and pulled to a rider of tact,
softness and balance. The proof of the French Classical
Connection is in the doing. If Ellin can do it, anyone
can. For more information and an instructional video,

Horse Boarding
Located in Plainfield, Indiana, we provide
a full-service boarding facility to meet your needs and
pamper your horse. Our stalls are cleaned daily and are
sawdust bedded. We offer daily turnout, grain and supplements
- once or twice daily, well-ventilated stalls, and all-they-can-eat
hay both indoors and out year-round. Medications and medical
treatment is administered per owner's instructions. Handling
for the farrier is no additional charge.
We are very proud of our facility and
have developed a cohesive relationship with our boarders
which we proudly call a part of our family. While we all
share various riding experience levels and equine backgrounds
and interests, we all work together to enjoy horse ownership.
We often travel to shows together, share arena space, ride-out
together, trail ride, give personal attention and exercise
to each others horses, make facility improvements, and
even swim together on hot summer days. As a result, our
stall availability is always very limited as our boarders
are long-time occupants. Please check
with us to determine
if we have space for you and to join in the fun!
